Does anybody know of any books that have a vast bank of knowledge on the botany? In specific herbology, like deatils on ephendra it's uses, active alkaloids in salvia divorium and it's uses to treat dementia? Everything from treating the common flu, to natural stimulants such as ginko, to narcotic plants known to cause hallucinations such mandrake?

Not a book, exactly, but I can point you toward a few websites:

Native American Ethnobotany - http://herb.umd.umich.edu/ (you'll have the best luck if you enter plants by scientific name) - traditional uses of plants

Phytochemical and Ethnobotanical Databases - http://www.ars-grin.gov/duke/ - you can serach by plant, specific chemicals, or what they do

Also see the "Herbs and Supplements" section of the National Institiute of Health's website: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginformation.html
